- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of subsea equipment and services. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties.
- Work closely with project managers and finance teams to develop procurement budgets and track expenses. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to ensure that subsea components and materials meet the required specifications and industry standards.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions to the procurement process.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, tracking their performance in terms of delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and logistics, to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of subsea equipment and services.
- Lead and mentor the subsea purchasing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- In charge of purchases required by vessel allocated, manage the purchasing support to vessel operation that require purchasing of stores, spares and project specific items.
- To provide reports/support for all material raised and purchased through Purchasing and Financial systems.
- To monitor and report/feedback on the set and implement department ISO Quality Improvement Objectives and KPI.
- Assessment of New suppliers’ prior system creation.
- Monitor and perform Annual supplier’s re-evaluation exercise.
- Degree or Management Qualification in Supply Chain/Purchasing & Supply, Or Recognition of sound experience in place of formal qualifications is acceptable.
- High level knowledge and understanding of Subsea materials / equipment / services and related logistics management gained within the international Oil & Gas service industry.
- Proven experience in subsea procurement and supply chain management.
- Sound knowledge of Air, Sea and Land transport requirements.
- Knowledge and use of computerised Purchasing system.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
