Senior Assistant Director, Development Office

**Summary**:
NUHS Development Office (“DO”) supports the National University Health System’s (NUHS) efforts in building resources for strategic priorities, through the cultivation of relationships and strategic partnerships with donors.
Reporting to the Group Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of NUHS Fund Limited, as well as plan fundraising strategies for key NUHS initiatives. You will be actively involved in the end to end development process from raising funds for NUHS priorities, stewarding existing donors and cultivating potential donors. You will also be responsible for overseeing the team responsible for development.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to advance NUHS’ Academic Health strategic priorities.
- Oversee the overall strategic planning, financial management and oversight of controls to ensure continued effectiveness, credibility and sustainability of NUHS Fund Limited.
- Work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders to develop articulate and compelling proposals, materials and collaterals which offer attractive value propositions to donors.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with prospective donors, advocates and volunteers (individuals, foundations and corporations) to raise awareness of NUHS and its priorities to secure endowments, grants and sponsorships.
- Ensure accountability to donors through the judicious usage of funds in accordance to gift intent, as well as timely and regular updates on their gifts
- Manage team to help them reach full potential and increase/maintain team morale
**Requirements**:
- Minimum a Bachelors Degree in any discipline
- 15 - 20 years of work experience; with a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership capacity. Experience in fund raising is an added advantage.
- Confident, mature and resourceful with outstanding communication and presentation skills with proven experience to influence stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Management experience in leading a small team, requiring an ability to get hands-on, when required.
- Rich experience in working in cross functional teams and able to take a leadership role in steering towards a conclusion, when required.
- Excellent analytical ability as well as attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
