[What the role is]
As part of the Education and Engagement Team under the Community Animal Management Division of AVS, you will be responsible for creating an informed and knowledgeable society to be responsible pet owners and promote harmonious co-existence with animals. This is done through programmes and events which are educational and engaging
[What you will be working on]
- Plan and support engagement work and outreach programmes relevant to animal-related matters. This includes coordinating with stakeholders and vendors, managing logistics for events, engaging the community and management of volunteers
- Husbandry work at The Animal Classroom.
- Provide secretariat and administrative support for meetings and programmes.
- Perform other assignments or projects as required
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant working experience in public outreach/engagement and event management.
- Passionate about animal welfare advocacy.
- Creative and resourceful individual who is able to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Good team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to work after office hours and during weekends when required.
