Provide a high level of support to a team of Senior Portfolio Managers (“PMs”) in their day-to-day management of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (“DPM”) mandates offered by Bank Julius Baer (the “Bank”) to its high net worth individuals.

The main responsibilities of this role include supporting the senior members of the PM team to update and rebalance the model portfolio as needed, cash management, create the securities and FX orders entries using the Bank’s order management system and investment monitoring as First Line of Defence (1LOD) to ensure Client portfolios’ adherence with the product-specific guidelines and Bank’s inhouse policies.

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**

The Portfolio Analyst is expected to provide a high level of support to a team of Senior Portfolio Managers (“PMs”) in their day-to-day management of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (“DPM”) mandates offered by Bank Julius Baer (the “Bank”) to its high net worth individuals.

He/she should be familiar with Asia Fixed Income mandates. The main responsibilities of this role include supporting the senior members of the PM team to update and rebalance the model portfolio as needed, cash management, create the securities and FX orders entries using the Bank’s order management system and investment monitoring as First Line of Defence (1LOD) to ensure Client portfolios’ adherence with the product-specific guidelines and Bank’s inhouse policies.

He/she should have strong analytical and problem solving skills and will be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION**

**Client Management (internal & external)**
- Actively engage and support the Asia Fixed Income PM team in the daily activities and tasks assigned
- Interact effectively with the PMs as well as internal clients from Relationship Management Team. In particular, to maintain timely and accurate production of both standard and customised reports

**Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management**
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Support the PMs with their day-to-day management of the DPM mandates offered by the Bank, including order generation, cash management, pre and post trade monitoring of the transactions to ensure Client portfolios’ adherence with the product-specific guidelines and the Bank’s in-house investment policies

- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong attention to details and organisational skills

**Professional and Technical**
- University degree and sound academic background in Finance
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply
- CFA qualification is an advantage
- CACS Paper 1 and 2
- CMFAS Module 3, Module 6
- Good understanding of financial market, financial products and industry landscape
- Familiar with trade-life-cycle, ability to resolve complex trade flow issues through an in-depth evaluation of procedure with various back-office teams
- Familiar with financial software e.g. Bloomberg
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Macro and coding experience is a plus

**Regulatory**
- MAS RNF registered representatives to perform the regulated activities in Fund Management
- Familiar with regulatory expectations and requirements
