IFF is seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Scent Technology & Innovation (ST&I) Singapore division as Scientist.

**Your Focus**

As Scientist, you will be involved in managing and running technical projects for the Home and fabric care category. Your role includes internal creative support for fragrance/technology performance & stability as well as external technical expertise demonstration in front of customer.

The role would require you to thoroughly implement IFF technology and investigate Fragrance solutions that satisfy consumers’ needs in the Home and Fabric Care category. Our ambition is to exceed our customer’s technical expectations when introducing new products and formulations to ensure that

IFF is seen as the most technically innovative Fragrance house.

In addition, you must have the ability to lead sizeable technical projects that are either proactive or value to market (V2M). You will need to develop and build a continuous healthy and strong intimacy with all our customers.

**How you will contribute**
- Plan & execute complex technical work for V2M/Proactive & Analytical projects under the direction of technical leaders
- Lead small scope projects internally or externally by providing key technical support
- Have a legacy of technical creativity to develop technical insight & recommendations that support project decision-making, category strategy, & customers propositions to highlight IFF product advantages
- Create strong business relationships with clients based on trust and expertise.

**Job Requirements**:
**What you will need to be successful**
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Science & Technology, Cosmetic and Perfumery, Chemistry or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the Fragrance, Consumer Goods or Ingredients Chemical industry.
- Able to work independently on projects without direct manager supervision and experience in managing technical staff.
- Curious, knowledgably, creative mindset and is seen as someone who applies knowledge creatively and intelligently to the solution of problems
- Dynamic, proactive and strong interest on problem solving
- Results driven and agile in a fast-moving environment.
- Conceptual capacity/flexibility - Quickly grasps different concepts.
- Fragrance formulation, development technical skills and Olfactive skills.
- Strong data analysis capability for interpretation of results.
- Strong written and presentation communication skills; Must be able to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences as well as senior leaders.
- Strong team player with influencing skills.
- Ability to work on cross-functional project teams
- Understanding of the creative and commercialization process of new products/technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (especially Excel, Power point and Outlook)
- Business knowledge and acumen within the Fragrance Industry.
