**About the Department**:
**UOB Asset Management** is a leading Asian asset manager with award-winning investment expertise in fixed income and equities. Headquartered in Singapore, we offer global investment management expertise to individuals, institutions and corporations from a regional network spanning Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Japan and beyond. Our comprehensive product suite includes innovative solutions covering retail unit trusts, exchange-traded funds and customised portfolio management services.

**Responsibilities**:
We are expanding our multi-asset business and are looking for an experienced quantitative investment professional. You will be a senior member of the team developing and managing systematic equity multi-factor equity strategies. This covers theme development through data sourcing, analytics and result in implementation with an emphasis on generating predictable returns.

You will also be responsible for quantitative alpha signal and market anomaly/factor research and testing as well as quantitative investment strategy research.

In addition, you will also be involved in portfolio construction, implementation and risk monitoring activities which will require strong knowledge of risk models.

You will also be required to engage with investment consultants and participate in client mandate pitches and external events to drive UOBAM “thought leadership”.

**Job Requirements**:

- 7 - 10 years of direct experience in quantitative finance with strong background in mathematical and statistical analysis covering research and implementation
- Strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of equity investments.
- Data analytics, data science knowledge and ability to program in Python/R
- A self-directed learner who can formulate and articulate independent opinions.
- Initiative and critical reasoning are vital
- A motivated team player
