
Regional Sales Manager

**Purpose and Objectives**:The Regional Sales Manager shall be responsible for profitable sales of products and systems for the transportation and storage of sludges and solids within the Putzmeister Industrial Technologies Business.
**Major Tasks and Duties**:
- Participating in municipal tenders, preparing bidding documents with support from the Global Sales Backoffice Industrial Technology in Germany
- Conducting customer follow-up on proposals
- Developing new customer contacts
- Developing and maintaining existing sales partner network
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, sales representatives, municipal engineers and consulting firms
- Providing technical training in Putzmeister technology for sales representatives and decision influencers
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities
- Effectively communicating customer needs, competitor activities, opportunities, market needs and other related information to the Regional Headquarter and the PM Headquarter in Germany
- Acting as a point of contact in all market-related issues
- Performing regular status reviews
- Participating in trade shows and conferences
- Preparing and conducting promotional activities
**Required Qualification**:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, process and environmental engineering or comparable qualification
Required specific professional knowledge and expertise:
- Good knowledge of municipal project bidding process including scope of supplies and submittal approvals
- Technical sales experience in the field of waste water treatment and/or biosolids handling plants
- Market
- and customer-oriented mindset
- Strong selling and communication skills
- Ability to easily form relationships
- Ability to be self-motivated, self-directed and self-managed
- Willingness and ability to frequent travelling (approx. 50%) throughout the APAC region excluding China and Japan
Required EDP- and/or PC-knowledge
- MS-Office, CRM tool would be a plus
Oral and written mastery of languages (technical/commercial) - basically, fluently, excellent, mother tongue.
- English - mother tongue or full business proficient
- One local language of one of the main markets Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia would be a plus
**Required Professional Experience **(similar tasks and duties)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in selling technical products or systems
**Required Leadership Experience **(in similar position)
- Ability to grow is a plus (not mandatory)
