The main job responsibilities as Head of Group Sustainability are as follows:

- Set priorities for Group Sustainability and conduct gap analysis to create program strategy and framework.
- Lead the development and implementation of Group Sustainability in line with the vision of being a leading edge of these markets in ASEAN.
- Lead the implementation of the Group Sustainability policy and guides, including customer and transaction due diligence on environmental and social issues.
- Lead the identification of new areas of opportunities (both internal and external) with currently untapped sustainability potential, including but not limited to, development of new sustainability-related products and services, and position CIMB to strategically tap into and capture these opportunities as and when they arise.
- Lead stakeholder advocacy initiatives, embedding of sustainability practices across all Business Units and Business Enablers.
- Guide the team to work closely with various businesses and countries to ensure successful delivery of the initiatives and key milestones.
- Supervise the team to create awareness of Group Sustainability related initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, develop CIMB’s internal sustainability capability through knowledge transfer, raising awareness and capacity building, internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and executive leadership across regional business units and multiple functions, locations, and languages, to ensure alignment and coordination of activities to meet Group Sustainability goals. Work closely to drive toward coalitions, consensus and action.
- Work with internal and external parties to pursue appropriate public relations activities to highlight Group Sustainability efforts.
- Manage and coach direct reports to support and amplify Group Sustainability initiatives, and to activate the power of the workforce to increase employee engagement.
- Identify, allocate and organise resource requirements, including people requirements.
- Lead, manage and engage talent to build a shared vision.
- Develop, build, and lead an effective and cohesive team that operates seamlessly across the Bank.
- Champion a strong service culture in enhancing customer experience.
- Work with stakeholders to build talent pipeline and its succession plan.
- Ensure all staff adhere to all internal as well as external policies and regulations.
