**The Job
Reporting to CEO, New Business & Strategic Planning, the Head of Sustainability will drive the expansion of CapitaLand Development’s (CLD) green competency across the life cycle of building and precinct projects as part of the Company’s core growth strategy and champion all sustainability initiatives and ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) efforts.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop sustainability priorities and strategic roadmaps, establish best practices, and recommend respective action plans and KPIs
- Work closely with the business units in driving their sustainability requirements (i.e. site tender bids)
- Drive and spearhead innovative solutions to strengthen CLD’s green capabilities in the built environment through building strategic partnerships or/and inhouse capabilities
- Lead internal and external communication and industry engagement of CLD’s sustainability strategy and achievements
- Work with various stakeholders on sustainability reporting and compliances
- Provide and present progress update, key emerging trends and regulatory directions to the Leadership Team and the Board of Directors
- Drive sustainability governance and accountability, by reviewing and refining policies and processes to ensure that they are kept current with the organization’s commitment to sustainability
- Promote a strong sustainability culture

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or other related field, with at least 15 years’ experience in strategic sustainability management or related fields
- Strong passion for sustainability, especially in the built environment
- Good knowledge of MSCI ESG Ratings, GRESB and green buildings requirements
- Ability to organize concepts and information, identify gaps and formulate and execute strategies
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly with both internal teams across the Company and geographies as well as external parties to engage and influence
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to showcase the company’s sustainability efforts and achievements
