**Purpose of the role**:
You will be responsible for delivering and managing all Indicia Worldwide Infrastructure and Networks including support (technical and non-technical) for Indicia WorldWide employees and external system users when required.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of IT you will have a number of teams and Indician’s reporting to you in a clear structure.
Your home team is the Global Support function where you will play an active role in improving both regional and global support capabilities with a myopic focus on Infrastructure and Network but all IT areas. In particular the management and responsibilities aligned with the AWS Cloud infrastructure currently deployed by the company.
The role is responsible for providing the strategic direction for the infrastructure function across the business. You will be key in leading the development of the infrastructure strategy and architecture standards and processes across Indicia Worldwide.
In conjunction with the teams reporting to you, an aim is to provide an available at all times infrastructure to users.
The following requirements will be considered part of the role but is not exhaustive.
- Managing overall day to day operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance and user experience
- Ensure system performance and SLA’s are met
- Implement continuous improvement programs
- Provide in depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives
- Assess the relative impact of industry trends to current and future infrastructure needs and projects
- Collaborate with business managers to define infrastructure support and solutions for improving efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure the teams are mitigating, monitoring and managing infrastructure related risks
- Manage a dynamic team of individuals, constantly challenging them for new creative ways to elevate the capabilities of technology systems to meet business needs
- Develop the skillsets of the individuals reporting to you to ensure satisfaction within role and for progression
- Ensure stakeholders have a seamless experience when making support requests with clear and timely communication
- To live the company values and have them at the forefront when decision making and leading the team
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with the Global Head of IT to establish standards and best practices for managing internal infrastructure, including network
- Responsible for overall system, cloud infrastructure (AWS) and internal infrastructure availability and develop a resilient infrastructure to reduce failures
- Ensure process and methodologies are maintained, followed by effective monitoring, control and support of delivery
- Ensure **accountability** by team members with management and delivery of team projects allocated
- **Collaborate **with other departments in the company to deliver positive stakeholder outcomes
- Work with product management and development teams to channel feedback and solutions into future releases.
- Provide technical guidance and support for incoming queries and issues supported by the business when required by the team
- To use **entrepreneurial** skills when looking to improve not only the team but the individuals as a whole
- Management and reporting of issues using Service Desk Management tool
- To **pioneer** new technology and ideas across the team but also allow the individuals to lead the way with ideas.
- Work closely with the team(s) to ensure the company is fully communicated to when required, such as during outages
- Any other adhoc works as requested by the Global Head of IT
**Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge**:
- Previous leadership experience in a busy, diverse IT and/or Network environment
- Previous history of management and deployment of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- Experience in collaboration and working in a fast-paced team but with periods on your own
- To lead by example, getting your hands dirty is not a bad thing
- Desire to learn new skills within a busy diverse organisation
- Ability to think logically, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong management and people development skills
- Possession of conflict management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral

- Experience in developing and delivering projects using leading-edge technology

- Microsoft SQL
**Education**:
- Degree in IT or related discipline
- Network and/or Infrastructure related qualificaions (for example CCA)
- Qualified AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (minimum) or Solutions Architect (preferred)
- ITIL certification preferred however a good knowledge of the ITIL Framework is a must
