We are seeking a Merchandising and Customer Marketing Specialist to lead and support initiatives that enhance the discoverability of our Sellers’ product selection, boost deal visibility and maximise conversions with Amazon shoppers. This role will heavily involve collaboration with multiple teams in Amazon and external partners to launch key brands, create impactful thematic and tactical campaigns to promote our selection & deals and explore innovative solutions to increase traffic. Key job responsibilities Product discoverability: Own and/or support initiatives to increase the visibility of product selection and deals across key categories under the Marketplace business by leveraging customer insights, behaviour and merchandising trends Brand campaign development: Work with key brands to create and launch campaigns that introduce their products to Amazon shoppers, driving engagement and sales Seasonal and thematic on-site campaigns: Plan and execute seasonal, event-driven and customer-focused marketing campaigns to promote curated selections and deals, ensuring alignment with broader business goals Performance optimisation: Use qualitative and quantitative data to report and analyse results. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve traffic and conversions. Develop and implement A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to optimise performance and improve conversion rates. Trend and customer insights analysis: Stay on top of e-commerce trends and customer behaviour, using qualitative and quantitative data to continuously refine existing initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation Day-to-day operations and process improvements: Owning and taking action on operational steps needed on multiple tools to execute the work. Identify & implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation & simplification in our merchandising plan that increases our overall speed to launch new selection About the team The Marketplace or “Selling on Amazon” business exists in over 20 countries and exceeds 50% of total Amazon unit sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest product selection and lowest prices for our customers. One way we deliver on this vision is by marketing to local country Sellers to persuade them to launch their products onto the platform thereby maximizing the quantity of items that they list while ensuring the highest quality of product images and information.
- Experience in either online, retail or e-commerce business is a strong plus
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams to deliver marketing campaigns across engineering, merchandising, design, marketing, PR, and operations
