**Role Description**:
AYou will play a pivotal role as the primary developer of carbide cutting tools for our organization. Your responsibilities will include designing new tools using AutoCAD and similar programs, inspecting tools for quality assurance, and continuously enhancing our existing tool portfolio. The focus of this position is to ensure the highest level of tool design and quality, delivering innovative solutions to meet the needs of our valued customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize AutoCAD and similar programs to design new carbide cutting tools.
- Conduct meticulous inspections of tools, comparing them against specifications using tool prints and inspection equipment.
- Design and enhance new and existing carbide cutting tools, incorporating innovative solutions.
- Prepare accurate production drawings, CNC machine programs, and related work order documents.
- Identify critical characteristics to guide CNC and QC technicians in ensuring quality during the fabrication process.
- Maintain proper organization and housekeeping of all work order documents.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management to support overall operational efficiency.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Experience in carbide cutting tool manufacturing, particularly in tool design, is considered advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment, collaborating closely with colleagues.
- Proficiency in verbal communication, reading comprehension of written and verbal instructions, detailed drawings, and documents, along with mathematical calculations.
- Basic skills in using handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
- Previous experience in tooling inspection is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and CAD/CAM programs are considered advantageous.
- Relevant Polytechnic diploma or equivalent qualifications.
