Position Responsibilities:
The **Director of** **Business Development, APAC** is responsible for business development with emphasis on developing market intelligence through the IPS key account program, creating strategies for country-specific plans, qualifying, and developing leads, client management with selected clients, assisting the regional leadership team developing sales pipelines for the operating offices, coordinating proposal efforts, general marketing/sales activities, and reporting.
**Key Activities & Responsibilities**
- Collaborates with global marketing team and key account managers to develop a regional map of key client investments for the 1-3 yr. horizon.
- Performs market research in designated geographic area to ascertain current and future market trends and opportunities for growth with regional key accounts and expansion into new countries.
- Establishes contact with potential clients and obtains the client's history to maintain client profiles and pipelines on the IPS CRM system.
- Assists in developing marketing contact lists for operating offices that are consistent with the firm marketing plan and have a significant potential for future work.
- Assists the regional leadership team in developing yearly sales plans and system for monitoring plans.
- Coordinates proposal efforts including assisting with the go/no-go decision, development of the proposal team, assigning proposal tasks, proposal review and proposal debriefings.
- Prepares proposal activity log and weekly business development summaries for distribution.
- Coordinates sales activities and information exchanges between offices to support client needs.
- Work with delivery team to create and manage consolidated, high impact, competitive bid proposals
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a sales/marketing capacity, 5 of which in D/B and/or Pharmaceuticals.
- Experience should include successful sales efforts improving business development activities of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Effective negotiation and communication skills.
- Progressive ability, capacity and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others.
- Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communications skills, team building and strong work ethic.
