We are looking for a skilled Senior Usability Engineer to join our team as a crucial part of our Accessory development team. Our team plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall user experience and ensuring that our hearing aids and accessories are of the highest quality. We work closely with our hearing aid development team to ensure that the accessories are seamlessly integrated with the hearing aids and meet the needs of our customers.

**What we offer**

As a creative Usability Engineer, you will be developing the design of next-generation medical device products in close collaboration with a cross-functional team of hardware-, mechanical-, and firmware engineers, industrial designers and project managers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize new products, and use cases with a team of engineers, industrial designers and product managers
- Communicate product design intention via user stories, flowcharts, and prototypes/ mock-ups.
- Produce usability test protocol and design validation documentation.
- Plan and facilitate usability studies with focused groups/ general users.
- Analyze usability test data to identify usability issues and recommend needed improvements.
- Work strategically to raise the UX and usability maturity of the wider team.
- Run an open design process from idea to implementation, where sharing your work and soliciting feedback from peers and users is part of your workflow.

**Requirements**:
We are looking for a team player to advocate for usability principles, and user needs, and ensure standards and practices are integrated throughout the hardware development lifecycle. Self-starting, attention to detail and a collaborative attitude are part of your strengths.
- Higher education within User Experience Design, Usability, Human Factor, Mechanical engineering, or similar fields.
- 3 - 5 years of demonstrated professional experience as a Usability Engineer/ Human Factors Specialist/ UX Researcher/ UX Designer
- Knowledge on usability standards, FDA guidance and know how to document the usability engineering process to ensure compliance with authorities an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of the Use related risk analysis
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles, usability testing methodologies, Universal Design and accessibility standards
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
