Key Responsibilities:

- Identify new research and educational needs, programmes and initiatives of the University community, and utilise professional tools and vendor services to identify, evaluate and select pertinent resources in various formats.
- Collaborate with Library teams to perform collection analytics to assess the value and impact of collections.
- Manage ad-hoc projects to identify new resources, perform selection and/or establish new procedures.
- Participate in reviews of existing resources for subscription renewal or deselection.
- Report on library and publishing trends, best practices of evidence-based collection management and development in the profession. Share knowledge and make recommendations to refine collection development policies and guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor degree from a recognised university.
- A recognised master degree in library and information science or related discipline (or currently in pursuit of one).
- Good understanding of library classification schemes and collection development principles and practices.
- Working experience with library collections and vendors, proficiency with the library catalogues and familiarity with online ordering tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of data management concepts, basic data analytical skills and basic understanding of BI Oracle and Qlik Sense.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, professional and effective manner with colleagues, users, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of current trends in higher education, scholarly publishing markets, and open access publishing will be advantageous.
