The Deputy Director of Special Projects is responsible for managing special projects and initiatives in the school. The key responsibilities include developing and managing project plans, allocating resources, monitoring project progress, and ensuring successful project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating a detailed plan for each project, outlining timelines, budgets, and deliverables.- Collaborate with functional stakeholders to ensure that projects are progressing as planned, and that any issues or delays are addressed in a timely manner.- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that projects meet their needs and expectations.- Engage with stakeholders throughout the change process, seeking their input and feedback, and involving them in decision-making.- Manage the budget for each project, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the project stays within budget.- Establish a dashboard that provides a comprehensive view of the school's operations to track progress and identify areas for improvement.- Develop and operationalize standard operating procedures and/or training materials post project implementation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, information technology, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years working experience in project management.- Knowledge of project management methodologies and risk management principles.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.- Have a combination of technical and soft skills, including project management, strong leadership, communication, analytical thinking, risk management, stakeholder management, and adaptability, to perform the job effectively.
This is a 1 year contract appointment.
