My client is a foreign bank hiring for a Legal & Compliance AVP to be based in their Singapore Office

**Your new role**

You will be responsible to assist in providing legal advisory and support such as management of legal and documentation risk of the Branch in order to safeguard the Branch's interests, facilitate sound commercial decisions and ensure Branch's contracts and legal documents are valid and enforceable at law, legal review of agreements, contracts and any other legal documents and conduct counterchecking of CDDs performed by front office depts and perform CDD on RMAs (Relationship Management Application). You will also assist in providing regulatory compliance advisory and support on regulatory compliance matters such as reviewing Compliance policies & procedures, including AML/CFT, and compliance reviews

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Diploma in Law or LL.B
- 3 years or more experience as a lawyer or para-legal person in a law firm, or with in-house Legal &/or Compliance. A working AML/CFT knowledge will be an added advantage
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively. Identifying and evaluating legal and compliance risks within the organization
