The Incubation (Emerging Products) team ensures T&S has an efficient, effective strategy to support the globalisation of emerging BD products (non Tiktok), outside of China. The end goal is to drive the best and safest user experience on emerging products (e.g., Capcut, Lemon 8, Fizzo, Resso).

As Emerging Product Safety Manager, you'll act as a T&S emerging product owner, ensuring T&S pre-launch co-ordination and the dynamic assessment of our launched portfolio of emerging products as they evolve and are adopted.
You will be a consensus creator, and thought partner. A member of the Incubation team, you will be accountable for collaborating across T&S and cross functional stakeholders to ensure appropriate safety strategies for products and users. This is the role for you if you are knowledgeable about risk based strategies, governance frameworks, high-level thinking, and on the ground execution.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pre-launch: Coordinating across T&S product prelaunch review as part of the Bytedance Global Risk Readiness process ensuring appropriate comprehensive review of safety risks identified collated and mitigated, in close partnership with T&S POCs and experts on the topic
- Safety assessment
- Definition and review of the safety assessment methodology to assess emerging product maturity evolution alongside appropriate safety strategies for emerging products portfolio.
- Lead the regular dynamic assessment of T&S emerging launched products taking into account additional features and market coverage) in collaboration with business product owners.
- Represent T&S and act as the go-to-person between T&S and critical cross-functional leaders pre launch providing education and feedback on safety strategies to mitigate risk.
- Tools and processes:

- Identify and collate and prioritise our T&S tooling/platform needs, related to Emerging Products to enhance delivery and capability available.
- Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.

**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
- 8+ years relevant Project management and/or Risk management experience
- Proven achievements in the coordination and leading of complex strategic initiatives across multiple geographic regions with the ability to execute at a tactical level and complete project implementations.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset. You are curious and are constantly striving to improve the world around you.
- Significantly data-driven with proven capability in data analysis; ability to draw insights from a comprehensive point of view.
- Excellent ability to communicate, perform and react well under pressure, in a diverse and ambiguous environment, with senior leadership
- Flexibility to work early mornings or late evenings as needed due to time zone differences.
- English language proficiency is required.
