Product Manager, Trust

Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

As a Product Manager on our Trust & Safety team, you will work with teams of engineers, data scientists, operations, product policies, and various relevant internal teams to build safety product features and strategies. You will be working on in-app safety features, technical strategies to improve our Trust and Safety processes, as well as methods to detect and address the risky behaviors and actors in the community. Additionally, you will work on project management to deliver major Trust and Safety product changes. Travel between our global offices is expected. Primarily, this role will oversee products in Bytedance's portfolio of Emerging Products.

**Responsibilities**:
What will I be doing?
- You'll identify risks and leverage in-app product solution or back-end processes to effectively address the risks, work with the engineering team to implement the product solutions
- You'll define a safety product roadmap, set metrics that inform the success of safety efforts and drive cross-functional efforts to achieve success
- You'll develop expertise in one of Bytedance's emerging products' domains, working as the owner of a specific product or a horizontal scenario.
- You'll develop a robust workflow for cross-team collaboration, manage large-scale product improvement projects to improve community safety

**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
- Previous experience in product management
- Ability to design product solutions based on evidence; proven track record of pushing ambitious product, and/or organizational or process changes
- Good cross-functional project management skills, good communication skills; a passion to unite people behind a common goal
- Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures. Strong communication and collaboration skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- You are experienced in product strategy in content safety area
- You have an understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in new media, tech, and the entertainment industry
- You have technical skills in data analysis (SQL, Python)
