The HR and Admin Manager plays a pivotal role to achieve organisational objectives. The HR and Admin Manager acts as a friend, strategic partner, administrator, problem solver, a change agent, and a mentor etc. He/She makes a contribution in maintaining the company’s culture and communicating to employees the importance of working towards attaining the company’s goals. He/She builds strong networks with diverse stakeholders with a view to advancing the organisation’s interests. In addition, he/she drives the organisation’s capability development and succession planning to ensure a competent workforce and continuous talent pipeline. He/She ensures compliance with corporate governance, ensures that the organisation stays abreast of changes in regulatory and legislative requirements, and advocates a safe workplace culture across the organisation.
- Responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities including inter-alia payroll, recruitment, manpower, succession planning, employee benefits, performance appraisal management, employee relations, training & development, talent management, conflict management and industrial relations etc.
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function. Redesign and streamline, plan and roll out new, innovative and viable initiatives, continuous enhancements of existing human resources operational processes, and reduces the administrative burden.
- Responsible for developing effective crisis communication and enable seamless communication and responses during Covid 19 pandemic, as well as emergency and crisis situations.
- Strategize and oversee manpower planning, recruitment, end to end on-boarding and off-boarding processes including formulation of policies and programmes for skills upgrading, in-employment training, re-training of workers and employee engagement.
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate execution of monthly payroll processing, statutory submissions and HR reports for the group of companies.
- Plan, review, formulate and implement HR policies, with an effective performance management system that suits the organizations’ needs and aligned with the organisation’s objectives. Work closely with various stakeholders, develop robust strategic talent development and succession planning aligning with functional growth strategies across the plant.
- Act as a change agent to change employee attitudes, beliefs and values. Motivate employees to enable them to unleash their potential and enhance their capabilities to meet the organisation’s needs, requirements and expectations.
- Ensure organisational compliance with regulatory requirements especially on work place health and safety and keep abreast of changes in compliance requirements. Timely submission and reporting of management/statutory reporting to the management and government authorities.
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Administrative function.
