**Responsibilities**:

- Leading and participation in IT infrastructure projects and migrations, working closely with users, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Installing, configuring, and patching AIX/HP-UX operating systems.
- Managing user accounts, groups, and permissions. Managing user access controls and system hardening procedures.
- Monitoring system performance and resource utilization.
- Managing system boot processes and shutdown procedures.
- Configuring network interfaces and managing network connectivity on SPARC servers.
- Implementing network security policies.
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks on AIX/HP-UX systems.
- Optimizing system parameters for specific workloads.
- Managing file systems on AIX/HP-UX servers, including data redundancy and performance optimization.
- Implementing and managing disk mirroring and RAID configurations.
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices. Security Patching.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on servers.
- Performing system backups and recovery operations.To perform 24X5 rotational shift onsite and 24X7 standby / remote support as and when needed for critical incidents

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Must be able to work on rotational shift on a 24X5 onsite and 24X7 standby / remote support team setup.
- Preferably 5 to 10 years of experience as an IT Systems/Network/Storage Administrator, or relevant positions.
- Expert in installation, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AIX and HP-UX servers.
- Extensive HP-UX networking knowledge including but not limited to VLANs, bonding, link aggregation.
- Experience in IBM AIX Unix administration at small and medium scale environments.
- Experience in System migrations (P2V Migrations) in the IBM AIX and HP-UX environments.
- Experience with scripting languages, for example Bash or Perl, to automate routine tasks, enhance system efficiency, working with the IT Support Analysts and streamlining processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for ideal automation strategies.
- Experience with LVM based disk operations are a must to administrate disk groups.
- Experience with HA clustering using pcs to maintain internal services.
- Configuring, troubleshooting and administering of VMWare and MS Hypervisors up to and including the latest versions.
- Experience of Windows Server and Active Directory up to latest supportable versions.
- Excellent communications skills - oral and written, with the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels.
