COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened. Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Through a series of early outreach initiatives, Care Corner has evolved into an organisation offering a wide range of programmes and services delivered through various social service centres located island-wide. In a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has continuously strived to offer new and innovative programmes to support those in need and the less privileged.
DESIGNATION : Organisation Development (OD) Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the needs of our service users evolve, Care Corner constantly looks for new ways to enhance the effectiveness of our services. Our Innovation Squad is an in-house team that works in close collaboration with our business groups to design and build services and digital products for social impact. You will be working closely with a Design Lead, Tech Lead and Product Lead, as part of an experienced group of experts bringing in new capabilities and ways of working. You will be part of one of the first teams in Singapore to use design, tech, product management and OD, to solve for the most complex social issues and bring about meaningful change.
As an OD Lead, you create the space for teams to develop the most innovative solutions by transforming how they work together. We believe that the innovation projects we do are invaluable opportunities to practise new ways of working and collaboration. This position reports to the Head, of the Innovation Squad.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conceptualise and implement organisation-wide initiatives to surface critical problem statements and generate new ideas
- Design and facilitate workshops with cross-functional innovation project teams to align on intent and outcomes
- Lead regular retrospectives for the innovation project teams to manage differences and identify more effective ways of working together
- Conceptualise and implement ‘pitstops’ for leaders to reflect on their learnings through the innovation projects, their own behaviours and mindsets, and identify areas where change is needed
- Coach and advice leaders to identify what might be getting in the way, map out the skills needed and support them in changing the way they act
- Lead communications and the engagement of affected end-users so as to facilitate the adoption of change. This may involve the use of multi-stakeholder engagement design, learning and development and incentive design (where applicable).
- Initiate ways to cultivate an organisational culture where person-centricity, agility, and the willingness to collaborate are the default
**Requirements**:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational sensing
- Proficient in systems thinking with the ability to identify inter-dependencies and pre-empt issues
- Experienced people leader and developer with a knack for developing healthy interpersonal relations and team dynamics
- Strong communication skills to effectively influence partners, peers and senior management
- Facilitation skills to support collaboration with a range of stakeholders in the ecosystem
- Proactive, with a purposeful drive to get things done and the tenacity to persist through challenges and obstacles
