Your key responsibilities
- Responsible to drive client engagement by identifying, developing and marketing hedging and investment solutions in collaboration with structuring, trading and research globally.
- Enhance the FM product proposition to institutional clients through new product delivery (from conceptualization to product launch) by working closely with different stakeholders in trading, risk, finance and operations
- You’ll be the centre of expertise for financing, yield enhancement and risk management requirements of insurance, asset management and other non-bank financial institutions
- Complement the APAC FI origination sales in all aspects of the financial markets (FM) derivative sales process, from idea generation, product and pitch development, to structuring solutions and execution
- Structure, negotiate, and execute complex credit, interest rate and FX transactions, including hedge coordination and deal contingent hedging with institutional clients.
- Provide pricing support for origination and execution sales team on non-vanilla transactions such as nonlinear credit, FX and rates.
- Guide and ensure the quality of pitching material and follow-up reports that are produced in the team and in the platform, including our interns
- Develop value adding services that make a difference for our clients (e.g. adding value in hedge consulting, hedge accounting, risk analytics, sustainability, and most importantly, keeping abreast of changes in the regulatory environment)
- Continuously support colleagues from FM Sector Coverage and Other Product Partners as well as clients on FM financing and risk management products
- You are part of the CSG APAC team and will also plug into the global CSG FI setup, which is a 3-person team (of which 2 are based in Europe) and will also be servicing / helping out other regions.
- Visit clients and sales locations in APAC together with the local origination sales to pitch rates and credit solutions
- Determine the XVA implications from a commercial perspective for complex derivative or financing transactions
- Drive FI CSG business strategy planning by working closely with trading and structuring in identifying key market opportunities and monitor progress in the execution of the strategy.

As a Director at FM CSG FI, you will also need:

- A university degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academic background
- 7+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector
- Strong knowledge of financial markets products (swaps, forwards, options in various asset classes); knowledge on hedge accounting, yield enhancement products, non-linear FX, rates and credits, XVA, structured financing and financial risk management is considered a plus
- Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. Affinity with legal documentation is a plus
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Ability to speak in Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
- Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint pitches and presenting)
- Deep understanding of a bank’s financial markets business including product profitability drivers
- Broad understanding of the different facets of FM products delivery from the commercial aspects to the market risk, finance/accounting, legal and operational aspects
- Ability to work independently, muti-task and prioritize on various transactions/projects at the same time, to meet challenging timelines,
- Didactically strong, a natural teacher/mentor
