Akadasia is a Singapore-based mission-driven education technology business that aims to Empower Educators Everywhere. We do this through FREEJOO, THE Global Community of Educators.
We are currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager who will oversee the growth of our business in Singapore and Malaysia.

This position will focus/oversee the overall business for SG/MY. This will involve Regional Business & Strategy, Sales and Business Development. The trainee will have a deep understanding of how a business works, how to strategize, work with the regional teams, learn the end to end sales process from prospecting, negotiating to closing a deal. This position will be reporting directly to the CEO.
**Responsibilities**:
**Regional Business & Strategy**
- To be directly responsible for Sales Revenue and P&L for Singapore and Malaysia
- To support development of mid to long-term regional business strategies.
- To develop key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans.
- To conduct market research and analysis of regional business opportunities, by assessing market trends and competitors with the aim to present findings and opportunities with recommended actions.
- To develop a deep understanding of operations, client servicing, billing and collections and should be able to use this understanding in driving the business.
- Correspond with various stakeholders including content partners, trainers and government agencies on course and funding matters.
**Sales and Business Development**
- Take ownership and drive revenue for Singapore/Malaysia.
- Execute a sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Develop a strong understanding of customers’ specific decision-making and purchasing process, understanding their business needs and objectives.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Communicate the value proposition to customers clearly, through in-person and/or online meetings, proposals, and presentations.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned targets.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients from cold and warm leads.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Submit monthly sales reports.
- To support Management in decision-making processes.
**Competencies**:
- Increase product knowledge and roadmap through interaction with other team
- Attend industry webinars, conferences and ed-tech events to build networking opportunities and meet potential clients/industry partners
