- Know the Market: Understand our industry and competitors. Use best practices to keep Shopee ahead in recommendation technology.
- Lead Your Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a large team of engineers and experts. Promote a culture of teamwork, learning, and new ideas. Oversee team projects and performance.
- Work Together: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to make sure our technical work supports company goals.
- Show Impact: Improve key business results like user GMV and Ads revenue by continually refining our algorithms.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in algorithm development specializing in large-scale recommendation systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading large technical teams of 30 or more engineers, with proven strengths in hiring, mentoring, and team development.
- At least 10 years of experience in algorithm development
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, data analysis, and recall and ranking optimization.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, combining strong communication with a results-driven mindset across teams.
