Roles & Responsibilities

**Position Summary**:
Responsibilities include being responsible for the education and development of Front Office associates in order to achieve the 5-star standards of the hotel. This person must be able to act and interact at all levels of the organization.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist management in identifying education and development needs relating to competencies for Front Office Department.
- Coach and educate the Front Office team to deliver the standards that support the brand image of the hotel.
- Plan and Design Learning and Development Programmes and learning materials.
- Plan and execute regular training plan for all Front Office Area in coordination with each section managers.
- Deliver learning and development either through On-the-job training, classroom learning or on-site observations and coaching.
- Develop and educate associates to be multi-skilled in Front Office skills. Monitor and ensure that Front Office associates are educated fulfilling minimum target training hours.
- Monitor the service quality of the Front Office Department and recommend improvement plan or conduct training to enhance the quality.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the training, advise management accordingly and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assess Front Office associates using the Front Office WSQ competency framework, hotel SOP, and Service Quality Audit. Educate and coach associates in any shortfall in the assessments..
- Conduct investigations from incidents / complaints / feedback in order to identify training needs.
- Make recommendations on the required action plans to help associates bridge their competency gaps.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where appropriate and in accordance to approved revisions.
**Talent Profile**:

- A minimum 5 years Front Office experience in 4 star or 5 star hotels.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the front office functions of Opera or equivalent Property Management Systems.
- Exposure to multi-cultural environment.
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent
- WSQ ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) certified.
- Business and service excellence driven.
- Excellent customer service skill.
- Development, coaching and training skills.
- Strong team-working skills.
- High level of both verbal and written English communication skills.
- Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
