To bolster our shared mission and help Invitae expand, we are looking for an Oncology Sales Specialist. In this position, you will provide customer support through the consultative sale and implementations of Invitae somatic and germline oncology solutions.
**A day in the life**
Your typical day might include the following:
- Working in collaboration with Regional Managers and distribution partners to assist clients in their specific cancer diagnostic needs;
- Partnering up with commercial team to grow sales through new account acquisition;
- Heading executive decisions that lead to retention of existing customer base of business;
- Cultivating internal relationships at Invitae relationships to identify and communicate new and future product needs, development and market trends;
- Supporting existing clients and helping new clients implement solutions.
**Education and required experience**:
- You hold an Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Advanced degrees such as PhD highly are valued;
- You are fluent in English, other APAC spoken languages are a plus
- You are outstanding at selling diagnostic or reproductive genetic tests and services to geneticists, genetic counselors and clinicians;
- You enjoy finding creative solutions for complex problems, you have a natural curiosity to investigate and solve issues at the core;
- You know how to prioritize, articulate and coordinate your daily activities under dynamic conditions;
- You champion industry trends as well as product and market knowledge;
- You own stellar technical presentation skills and outstanding ability to nurture external and internal relationships;
- Immunohistochemistry, In Situ Hybridization and Special Stains techniques as well as grossing, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, H&E staining are areas you are acquainted with;
- You have 25-50% availability to travel.
