This leading business, well known within the across the Marine Industry is looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to manage their Marine Insurance portfolio.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible for maintaining and developing new business accounts across the Marine Insurance portfolio, with a specific focus on the Marine Hull and Cargo portfolio. You'll be responsible to i dentify and develop potential business areas and maintain professional relationships with existing and potential customers. This includes providing technical advice on customers’ insurance needs.

You will be responsible for the review and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claims matters, recommendations on wordings and liaison with overseas business units and reinsurers.

Participate at company level committees for ad-hoc projects to improve and expand Company’s operations/ business.

Manage and implement proper credit control procedures and bad debt recovery with or without involvement of Credit Controller.

To review and improve the Department’s operation/ business.

To undertake any other duties as may be assigned.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will have at least 3-5 years of business development experience, within Marine, preferably Cargo and Hull policies within an Insurance company or Brokerage
You will have outstanding communication skills and strong decision making skills.
