**Job Description: Director of Business Development and M&A
Role Overview: The Director of Business Development - M&A will be responsible for leading and executing all aspects of business development and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities within our organization. This role will focus on leading these initiatives throughout our two primary verticals of distributed generation (DG) and utility power projects (UPP).

Activities within GD & UPP encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, M&A, financial stewardship, and quarterbacking resources both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
**Deal Generation**
- Identify and pursue new projects of distributed generation and utility scale.
- Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships including:

- Joint ventures
- Joint development
- M&A activity

**Financial Stewardship**
- Ensuring sales, cost estimation, and return on investment KPI’s are upheld.
- Debt raising

**Resource allocation**

You will be expected to make the most of our resources this includes building / leading direction for internal and external resources such as:

- Design, surveys, permitting, grid connection, regulatory approval, legal, consulting, etc
- Champions process analytics ensuring various departments and stakeholders enjoy transparent, homogenous information flow.

**Leadership**

In order to accomplish these objectives, you will be growing and leading of small team of professionals to ensure Peak Energy is acquiring business and gaining market share. This includes setting team goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Industry expert in distributed generation renewable energy projects.
- 10+ years of experience in leadership roles.
- Thorough understanding of multi-million-dollar capital investment decision-making.
- Ability to lead multi million dollar tenders.
- Project finance track record
- Joint venture and M&A experience throughout Asia.
- Proven ability to operate effectively with little oversight.
- Commercial acumen
- Track record of negotiating and closing complex contracts.
- Understanding of associated project risks with ability to install proper risk management framework.
- Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of the renewable energy landscape.
