Responsibilities
The Solar Business Development Executive is responsible for assisting the business development team to develop and secure new business opportunities in the solar energy sector. This role involves creating strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and leading efforts to drive sales and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the solar energy market, strong analytical skills, and experience in business development.
Assist the solar BD team and market solar as a key product and also other products under Energy-as-a-Service such as cooling, battery energy storage system, EV Charging and electricity to potential clients
Generate leads and expand clientele base through active acquisition of new clients
Identify new business opportunities and generate revenue through services provided
Perform full sales function, including pre-sales activities, preparing proposals and responding to clients' requests
Perform user requirements gathering and understand their needs
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies.
Formulate business proposals and make effective presentations to clients and consultants
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations.
Work with project development colleague and contractors to prepare technical proposal and obtain project costing
Run financial modelling and structure commercial deal for customers
Negotiate contracts with stakeholders to ensure favourable terms and conditions for the company.
Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor from time to time
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering preferred or Degree in Business with a Diploma in Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience
Experience in solar is an advantage
Has exposure in Financial Modelling
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Helioscope/PVSyst software
Able to demonstrate strong business acumen and commercial awareness in sales / marketing and business development
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and good team player
