Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in technology pre-sales management or partner technology management.
- Experience managing partnerships and building technology go-to-market alliances.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a regional role in key areas across the IT industry, and private/public cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS markets.
- Experience in a technical sales engineering role in a cloud computing environment or customer-facing technical/engineering role.
- Experience in large-scale, global alliances, and with building and scaling teams.
- Expertise in product, strategy, and the industry to influence/incorporate global legal frameworks, industry standards, and alliances.
- Ability to form relationships across technical and business functions in multiple companies.
- Ability to plan and manage at strategic and operational levels, and launch new products in the marketplace.

In this role, as the Director of Partner Engineering, Strategic and Technology Partnerships within Google Cloud in Asia-Pacific (APAC), you will lead and manage teams to drive growth within Google Cloud. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of how technology is used in the workplace.
You will utilize your excellent leadership and communication skills to serve as a trusted advisor to help customers and clients realize maximum business potential from Google Cloud through Google Cloud’s partners. You'll develop and drive technology relationships with a priority group of our most important partners, establishing deep technical integrations, business relationships, and ensuring delivery against business performance goals with our partners.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional peers to develop a robust partner strategy and be responsible for building and managing a team of Partner Engineering Managers, Industry Ecosystem Partner Engineers, Technology Ecosystem Partner Engineers, and ISV Partner Engineers. This will include implementation against the broader partnership strategy through building relationships, discussing partnership agreements, and developing a joint go-to-market approach. You will manage a diverse set of stakeholders ranging from Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership teams to ensure alignment with Google Cloud’s ongoing evolution and broader business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, and develop compelling value propositions. Structure complex agreement scenarios that may incorporate a promote-to or promote-with scenario involving multiple parties.
- Engage with teams to align product directions with our external partners. Work with peer teams to establish partner priorities that will determine recruiting and partner development focus.
- Help partners leverage Google's technology to enhance their offerings, integrate with them to fill gaps in and extend our product portfolio, and help land these partnerships with enterprise customers and sales.
- Be the executive point of contact for strategic partners and drive partnerships, support integration of products to existing partners, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of daily business challenges.
- Build the Partner Technology Excellence for capability, certifications, and implementation strength, build specific horizontal and industry motions with partners across APAC.
