**About the role**
You provide accurate and timely analysis reports on defence capabilities and related developments in identified countries-of-interest in the Asia-Pacific region.

**What you will be working on**
- Conduct research on defence capabilities and related developments in identified countries-of-interest, including the implications of technological development on military capabilities
- Monitor, analyse and identify trends in their defence procurement strategy, defence collaborations, and technology development
- Lead a research team to produce high-quality, original research reports
- Present research findings to military leaders and relevant stakeholders
- Identify new trends and developments that could impact defence capabilities

**Challenge(s)**
- Keeping pace with rapid changes in the defence and security landscape
- Synthesising large amounts of information into clear, concise assessments
- Delivering high-quality analysis under tight deadlines

**What we are looking for**
- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or related field
- At least 6 years of experience in defence capability research or analysis
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent writing and communication abilities
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team of analysts on an identified topic-of-interest
- Interest and knowledge in current technology developments and their implications for defence capability
