**About our group**:
Reliability-HDI Department is part of the Asia Media Development group located in Woodlands 1 and 3 building to support designed media tribology and reliability testing activities, etc., to help in improving media yield/output and quality performance. The department serves a critical role on HDM tribology, defect and particle/contamination reduction through working closely with other functional departments, thus enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Integration and Manufacturing. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

**About the role - you will**:

- Lead a group of techs and take charge of 5x AVTS testers to support AVTS testing requests from multiple departments.
- Expertise in AVTS operation, including operating principle, hardware, software, troubleshooting and maintenance, etc., and explore ways to improve test sensitivity and UPH.
- Assist techs in resolving daily AVTS operation issue.
- Data-mining data, identify issues and highlight to process owners.
- Collaborate closely with Test Maintenance team on AVTS tester maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Lead in looking into correlation between AVTS and drive results.
- Maintain tester-to-tester performance to achieve good correlation and repeatability.
- Expertise in Reliability Dept’s Kubota tester and RW tester:

- Hands-on optimize/develop Kubota & RW Testers for metrology prediction to drive performance/failure.
- Troubleshooting, maintenance, PM and calibration.
- Metrology equipment and mechanical testing knowledge (will be beneficial)

- Job requires at least a degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
