**Job Objectives**

To function as the Repair Shop Manager managing and controlling both manpower and workflow activities to achieve the given service level and quality targets and at the same time institute cost containment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet service levels metrics - TAT, safety and quality
- Meet quality standards and legal and regulatory requirements governed by CAAS and other relevant authorities
- Maintain all workshop equipment and tools in approved condition with all calibrations done within the time specified
- Maximize repair output with existing machineries - machine utilization
- Ensure capacity planning and that the information is made available to the Sales and Product Management teams
- Manage and control workflow activities - productivity
- Continuous lean management for cost and efficiency improvements
- Develop and implement effective cost control system
- Schedule and plan repair work
- Ensure that Procurement has correct data for spares provisioning
- Provide engineering and technical support to workshop, other departments and customers
- Ensure coordination with Product Management on production levels and Shop Processing Time (SPT) to meet commitments to OEMs
- Motivate and manage workforce
- Ensure necessary competence level of repair personnel by executing training, on the job instructions and evaluation, and examination/testing in coordination with HR
- To keep direct reporting line informed of the status of agreed tasks and of any critical problem areas
- Work and adhere to Satair’s declared functional structure
- Support HO Repair & Production in meeting the strategic objectives
- Support the Product & Sales Management teams in developing new value propositions
- Smooth coordination with other departments
- Dialogue with Product Management on services available

**Job Requirements**
- Degree level education with evidence of professional enhancements
- University degree in Engineering preferred
- Aviation Avionics and/or mechanical workshop management experience
- Working knowledge of English, both orally and in writing
- Negotiation skills
- Process improvement / Lean knowledge
- Ability to interpret complex technical data
- PC literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- General ERP system working knowledge
- Task focused
- Motivation and cooperation
- Proactive and flexible
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong people mgmt. skills, incl. delegation and empowerment of co-workers
