Job Summary

We seek a seasoned Project Manager to oversee afloat repairs, lifesaving & fire-fighting inspection and offshore projects on ships/rigs in Singapore and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day projects of afloat repairs, lifesaving & fire-fighting inspection, and offshore projects on ships/rigs in Singapore and at overseas.
  • Assist the head of department in handling field service operations, in technical, operational, and commercial matters, to complete on schedule and maintain quality.
  • Determine project quotations and send them to the head of department or management for approval.
  • Prepare project costing for job completion settlements with customers.
  • Issue material requisitions to company supply departments for purchase.
  • Issue purchase orders to subcontractors for maintenance and services.
  • Monitor, manage, and coordinate repair teams and/or subcontractors for job execution.
  • Liaise with clients such as shipowners/managers, offshore operators, shipyard repair managers, agents, and others for project management.
  • Manage tools and equipment kept in the company's warehouse, calibrate periodically required.
  • Hand over related contact information in writing to the company's logistics coordinators for transportation arrangements for engineers and repair teams, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Manage all documentation and certificates ready for the project and submit to the client once job completion, keeping records in the project file and ERP system.
  • Answer customer queries and provide remote technical support.
  • As per request by the head of department or management, develop repair techniques, training, and team build-up.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experienced in marine machinery and equipment.
  • Past experience in shipyards or working on board ships is preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs will be an advantage.
  • Able to commit even after office hours due to the nature of the job.
