Project Management Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day projects in the marine industry, including afloat repairs, lifesaving & fire-fighting inspections, and offshore projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
  • Assist the head of department in handling field service operations, technical, operational, and commercial matters.
  • Work out project quotations and send them to management for approval.
  • Prepare project costing for job completion settlement with customers.
  • Issue material, tools, and equipment requisitions to the supply department for purchase.
  • Monitor, manage, and coordinate repair teams and subcontractors for job execution.
  • Liaise with clients, such as shipowners, managers, operators, and agents.
  • Manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated periodically.
  • Handover related contact information to logistics coordinators for transportation arrangement.
  • Manage documentation and certificates, submitting them to clients upon job completion.
  • Answer customer queries and provide remote technical support.
  • Develop repair techniques, training, and team building as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
  • Possess at least a Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in marine machinery and equipment.
  • Past experience in a shipyard or working on board a ship is preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs, is an advantage.
  • Able to commit to work outside regular office hours due to the nature of the job.
