Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting the Director of Sales and Business Development in sales activities, particularly with the hyperscale cloud customers
- Actively participate in the RFP process with our customers
- Control and develop all technical support for the sales team
- Providing accurate sales forecasting (SalesForce) to the business
- Work with client requirements regarding capacity needs and timing; coordinate those requirements with the capabilities of VDC
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of VDC and its customers
- Prepares and delivers technical proposals, design architectural overviews, and assists in customer site visits
- Responsible for driving opportunities by supporting Sales teams in designing, positioning, and proving technology solutions.
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in Data Center Infrastructure solution sales, marketing and management
- Prior experience with complex solution sales, data center infrastructure and professional services
- High degree of competency in public speaking and business acumen required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience, required
- Experience in Sales Engineering and/or Systems Engineering required
