
Business Systems Specialist

**PURPOSE**
The incumbent should possess the following and is required to perform system changes (listed below) according to work allocated by the reporting manager:
- Business process knowledge in all business functions namely, Customer Relationship Management, Marketing, Sales Outlook, Sales Support Operations, Order Processing, Order Fulfilment
- Knowledge and experience in system configuration, design and development involving at least 1 system:
- SAP CPQ for Product Configuration, Price Book & Promotions, Quote Creation, Contracts Generation; and integration with SFDC for data exchange
- Oracle eBusiness Suite for modules namely Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Cost Management
**RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS**
Key accountabilities
- Lead in user requirements gathering and analysis
- Drive user discussions and conduct workshops to facilitate information gathering
- Perform feasibility study to ascertain area of automation
- Propose and review functionality with respective stakeholders affected by the change
- Document user requirements into user specifications (functional & technical)
- Lead in system design and development of functionality according to the agreed user specifications
- Develop test plan & scripts
- Conduct testing on developed functionality to ensure compliance to user specifications and internal quality assurance requirements (e.g. system performance benchmarks)
- Lead in user training & user acceptance testing
- Ensure proper deployment of change orders to production environment in accordance to internal procedures
- Review all work deliverables from development resources assigned, and provide guidance to development accordingly. Resources can be internal or extended vendor resources on technical delivery
- Provide periodic reports to reporting manager on work status/project progress
- Accountabilities are applicable to daily support, change order sustenance and project work
- Ensure full compliance to company policies, internal procedures, information security and JSOX audit requirements for all work performed
- Other duties as assigned by reporting manager
Daily Support
- **20% of time (or less) in daily support activities**:
- Handle issues resolution in accordance to SLA
- Report any system or operational deficiencies and recommend areas for improvements
System Sustenance Change Orders
- **20% of time (or more) on change order fulfilment activities**:
- Manage full change order fulfilment for the designated systems independently
- Manage development resources allocated as per change order requirements (usually of low to medium complexity)
Projects
- **Minimally 60% of time in project work**:
- Project activities include but not limited to requirements gathering, setup/configuration, design, testing, training, documentation, deployment, etc.
- Review all project outputs in relation to IT system deliverables from project development resources
**REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES**
- Minimum 10 years information management experience in MNC, including the following will be preferred:
- 8 years’ experience in IT lead role in project / support environment
- 8 years’ implementation background in SFDC, SAP CPQ, or Oracle EBS (3 full cycle) or support background in the same context
- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or IT related fields
- For Oracle EBS - Conversant with PL/SQL, Developer 2000 and Oracle 6i
- Familiar with High Tech Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (e.g., Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, Project)
- Good IT support and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in business as well as technical writing / documentation
- Good analytical / problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- People oriented, customer focused and have business sense in handling both internal and external stakeholders
