[What the role is]

We are looking for a service-oriented individual to join the Memorial Facilities and Planning Development which oversees the development, operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at a crematorium at Mandai and will play a key role in providing after-death care services.

**[What you will be working on]**

Your job responsibilities include:

- Manage the daily operations and maintenance of the building facilities and mechanical & electrical systems of the crematorium
- Supervise the facilities management contractor to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of the crematorium
- Perform procurement, contract administration, invoice certification work
- Perform shift duties, as and when required, to lead a team of staff in the safe and efficient operation of the crematorium equipment as well as frontline troubleshooting and rectification of equipment faults
- Handle and manage feedback
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

**[What we are looking for]**

Job Requirements:

- Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical) or at least 3 years of experience in maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering services such as lifts, escalators, air-conditioning and fire protection system etc.
- Familiar with local Code of Practices, Building and Fire Safety regulations
- Conversant in reading and interpreting architectural and M&E engineering schematic drawings
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and function well in a team
- Tactful, approachable and patient and have good understanding of the practices of different religions
- Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
- Willing to work in after-life care service environment
