Job Description:
Rakuten Travel Xchange is a hotel distribution service providing travel retailers around the world with easy access to hotel rates and inventories through a single source. Travel businesses will be able to manage their entire hotel inventory needs from a single API connection, via a tailored web portal or template solutions, or its Travel Agent Portal, without spending valuable resources on integrating multiple supply partners.

Scope:
Work closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources,organizational and employee development.

The Senior HR Business Partner will be responsible for day-to-day people-partnering matters and be a key driver/ change agent in aligning business and people strategies, directions and objectives through appropriate advice/ interventions to develop a high-performance culture within Rakuten.

Partnering with Talent Acquisition team & HR Ops Shared Services team, you will also support the growth of the organization ranging from headcount planning, conducting interviews, development, performance evaluation to job architecture design.

**Responsibilities**:
You are responsible for performance reviews, learning and development, and employee retention while also improving existing processes and procedures while collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to translate business plans into talent, engagement, and organization plans.
- Assists senior management in the development of solutions for current and future business needs through employee development, organizational development, cultural and process-oriented perspectives.
- Understand the products and business deeply to develop good business acumen.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Standardize policies and processes across the organization and nurture a positive working environment.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Lead on the recruitment and selection process.
- Partner with HR Ops Shared Services team on operations matters.
- Together with HR leadership, develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, metrics and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, workforce planning, and organizational change).
- Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues objectively and impartially.

Skills & Experiences:

- At least five years of experience as a Senior HR Generalist, Business Partner or HR Manager, preferably in a fast-paced organisation
- An individual with exposure/ mentality in a start-up environment, and is preferred
- Demonstrateded knowledge, experience & proficiency in at least four or more of the HR & Administration discipline - business partnering, planning and policy, talent management, compensation, benefits, training and staff development, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, HR systems and projects, administration
- Strong business acumen, with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence key decision-makers and employee
- Strong sense of responsibility to handle matters with discretion, confidentiality, and empathy
