**Responsibilities**:

- Underwrite commercial and industrial risks in accordance with the Company’s underwriting guidelines and treaty terms.
- Seek approvals from Head of Department on risks above given authorized limit.
- Contribute to the annual underwriting strategy with achieving projected premium and targets in mind.
- Stay ahead of the competition by constantly monitoring the market movements, business trends, and industry news.
- Analyze the premium portfolio for agents in order to achieve the target set.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare quotations to clients and agents in accordance with the Company’s underwriting guidelines.
- Handle enquiries on premium rates and policy conditions from clients.
- Assist in premium collection.
- To review renewal business and make necessary adjustment to premium, terms and conditions.
- Ensure timely issuance of daily policy and endorsement by the supporting team.
- Participate in projects/surveys when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience in underwriting commercial line of business.
- A strong Business Degree and Certificate In General Insurance (CGI).A good team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
