Gbm Local Analyst

Role purpose:

- Support inbound multinational referrals including local entities of Global Benefits Management (GBM)/Regional Benefits Management (RBM) accounts to ensure timely and efficient execution of services in accordance with client-specific requirements including GBM/RBM Rules of the Road (RoR) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) in place for broking services.
- Guarantee that global and local stakeholders (internal and client) receive accurate information in GBM tools (GBM Analytics & MG+) on a timely manner.
- Become local Subject Matter Expert in both local market practices and GBM systems use (GBMA & MG+).
- Translate local documents to ensure a proper understanding of GBM local deliverables.
- Coordinate with local support groups (i.e. placement) and GBM local brokers to receive the client information required to update GBM tools.
- Main point of contact between global COEs (Warsaw, India, Norwood), and GBM account managers, project managers, and local brokers to solve GBM tools update queries.
- Support renewal and new business placement activities including negotiation of renewal terms, preparation of renewal reports/proformas, and placement of insurance covers.
- Assist in ad hoc projects if required.

This position is responsible for new, expanded and renewal data for the defined multinational (including GBM/RBM) portfolio which is considered an integral part of the Mercer Marsh Benefits portfolio of business.

A. Maintain updated tracking of GBM/RBM clients service status in line with client-specific Rules of the Road and Mercer Marsh Benefits global service standards

B. Working through Mercer Marsh Benefits colleagues locally and Placement (where applicable) to ensure timely delivery of the following services:
**1. Pre-Renewal**

a. Understand client’s plan design and renewal objectives

b. Include benchmarking and benefit design recommendations in GBM Systems (GBM Analytics (GBMA) and MecerGOLD+ (MG+) (i.e. client specific cost/utilization data, utilization gap, cost and claims analysis).

c. Provide ad-hoc reports (pre and post-placement) in relation to: market trends, legislative changes, industry change, to internal GBM stakeholders.

d. Include pre-renewal work updates in GBMA at least 90 days in advance for all GBM accounts,

**2. Renewal & Post-Renewal**

a. Document and store evidence of client decision and steps taken in GBMA and MG+.

b. Update renewal recommendations and savings achieved within GBMA and MG+.

c. Include post-renewal work update in MG+ at least 60 days after renewal for all GBM accounts.

**3. Post-Placement Services**

a. Document claims and cost drivers in GBMA and MG+ on as-needed basis.

b. Use GBM Local Renewal Template (e.g. pre-renewal discussion guide or claims, renewal, or stewardship reports) to document updates in GBMA and MG+.

**4. Other client relationship management items**:
a. Document GBM client compensation (i.e. commissions and fees earned) in GBMA and MG+.

**GBM/RBM internal coordination and reporting**
- Provide regular activities & results report in format to be agreed upon (e.g. GBM local renewal template).
- Ensure successful communication with all internal stakeholders in GBM including account managers.
- Provide updates on escalated local service issues in GBM Service Alert/JIIRA.

**Placement**
- Understand client's program, check policy contracts to review Proforma.
- Review and prepare insurance proposal/report including proformas and any other supporting documentation required for placement activities.
- Define and complete any other analytics models (i.e. MRT).
- Review MRT and negotiate with insurers if need be.
- Ensure a comprehensive analysis of terms received from markets and that the final recommended quoted terms are the best for the clients.
- Have knowledge on insurance regulatory requirements.
- Build influencing relationships with insurers.
- Send placement instructions to insurers (Signed documents, member listing).
- Follow up with Insurers on acknowledgement of placement.
- Follow up with insurers on issuance of billings/policy contracts/endorsements/product summaries.
