About this role

ShopBack is one of the world’s largest online affiliate publishers - every month, we power millions of online transactions through our systems to the thousands of merchant partners that we work with. Through the years, our merchant partners - who range from large enterprises and brands to smaller businesses - have grown their sales and customer bases by leveraging ShopBack’s model, and have done so with high ROI on their marketing spend.

We are looking for a Head of Product to scale these capabilities to new heights. You are responsible for designing and delivering a platform that unifies ShopBack’s proprietary merchant offerings under one roof. The platform seeks to allow its partners to harness deeper capabilities on top of the base cashback product, including but not limited to, dynamically priced offers, audience targeting, modularised campaign mechanics and branded assets. The target addressable market for the platform is broad - it ranges from the most sophisticated brand enterprises to the most aspiring brand entrepreneurs across our 10 Asia-Pacific markets.

You are to partner with commercial leaders from all our local markets and our regional team, including one of the co-founders who heads up the Online Affiliate Business Unit. Your work will empower frontline sales teams and account teams. You will build this product with dedicated engineering and design counterparts. You will hire and lead a team of product managers to achieve this.

Monetisation is the north star objective here. Your work will have a direct impact on the company’s revenue. Success is defined by having a high retention rate of our merchant partners and a steadily growing average revenue per active merchant metric.

You are organized, structured, and meticulous. You are an expert in managing complex multi-threaded initiatives with a lean team. You do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves when solving problems. You communicate well and drive action and progress with high pace. You can balance user needs with business needs.

**Responsibilities**:
Work with frontline sales and account management teams and commercial leaders to set the commercial strategy for monetizing online merchant partners.

Develop the product roadmap that enables the commercial strategy to be realized.

Build the platform and its constituent products and ship them in a timely and accurate manner.

Drive initiatives that accelerate the adoption of ShopBack’s capabilities at a far greater rate than the baseline today (primarily driven by high-touch business development efforts).

Continuously iterate the platform’s features and functionalities to optimize for merchant retention and average revenue per active merchant.

Hire a team of product managers to build, maintain and tailor the platform to our existing 10 markets and future ones.

Drive thought leadership to scale similar partner-facing technologies and solutions across the organization.

**Requirements**:
At least 10 years of product management experience at large fast-paced technology companies.

Demonstrates ability and willingness to be hands-on with engineering and design counterparts.

Experience steering large initiatives through complex multi-stakeholder setups.

Technical knowledge of affiliate marketing technology and other forms of digital advertising.

Worked on both B2C and B2B products.

Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical jargon into clear business benefit.

Comfortable working with diverse teams across multiple locations.

Experienced people manager and team leader.

Bonus if you possess educational and/or practical experience in software engineering, computer science, or information technology.
