**Roles & Responsibilities**

The purchasing manager's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.

**Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not limited to**:

- Review new project proposals for the company
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Resolve internal/external customer complaints and coordinate with suppliers on the return of goods and other issues
- Initiate and lead cost-saving plans.
- Maintain and forecast inventory levels.
- Maintain and update the approved supplier list.
- Organize local and overseas delivery.
- Partner with local and overseas suppliers.
- Prepare monthly purchasing reports for management.
- Review and maintain inventory standards.
- Review inventory monthly.
- Involved in daily purchasing activities; plan and execute materials purchased to ensure materials availability
- Assist in preparation and issuance of purchase orders to suppliers that is approved by the manager
- Responsible for purchasing daily routines, ensuring materials are from approved vendors
- Responsible for monitoring and updating supplier’s delivery schedule
- Liaise directly with warehouse personnel to effectively monitor, and replenish various raw materials and packaging materials for the daily operations
- Involved in ensuring goods and materials are timely received to meet scheduled deadlines
- Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating of materials and equipment, both locally or from overseas vendors
- Responsible for preparing and checking import documents, to ensure timely customs clearance of goods
- Negotiation on pricing, credit terms and supplier contracts, technical specification, delivery schedule
- Other duties assigned

**Requirement**
- Diploma in Purchasing and Logistics Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in purchasing role, is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
- Working knowledge of negotiation techniques
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Demonstrates a sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player
- Results-oriented and able to abide by tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility
