Inventory Specialist, Hardware Operations

As the Inventory Specialist, you will be part of a small energetic team of mosquito biologists, software engineers, and automation experts working to develop better ways to reduce the impact of mosquito-borne diseases. You will be responsible for the ordering, accurate accounting of inventory including shipping and receiving, processing, distributing supplies and materials; and perform a variety of duties including inventory database management, cycle counts, maintenance of materials and generating documents using an internal ticketing system. Will be working with Google Debug Project team in Singapore.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all hardware materials, including, consumables, and both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate supply needs to prevent stock outs and delays in factory or laboratory operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders for necessary materials and track delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt.
- Perform regular inventory audits to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies. Take corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate and streamline shipping and logistics for inventory.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately documented in the inventory management system according to established protocols.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory management, including storage, handling, and disposal of materials.
- Work closely with laboratory staff, procurement team, and other stakeholders to address inventory-related issues and optimize supply chain processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management practices.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in inventory management within a life sciences or laboratory setting is preferred. (minimum 2 years experience)
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
