Key Accountabilities:
Analytical:

- Analysis of various fragrances in all consumer goods such as Fine Fragrance, Deodorant, Detergent, Home-Care, Air-Care,

Soap, Shampoo etc. by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry
- The chromatographic system should be tested for efficiency, resolution and adsorptions.
- MS system should be tested for source adsorption and acidity (the absence of dehydration), mass accuracy and abundances
- Reconstruct market fragrance using GCMS & other experimental techniques.
- Carry out extractions & further sample preparations using HS-SPME, etc.
- Carry out experiments and interact with Perfumers to optimize reconstructed fragrance formulas
- Translate requests of technical management into sensible experiments
- Document results into concise report.
- Analytical method development
- Equipment maintenance
- Lab maintenance & safety

Key Competencies: (Most important competencies required for the role)
- Interpret Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Results Laboratory background in analytical instrumentation with working knowledge in gas-mass chromatography, HPLC etc
- Ability to independently operate & troubleshoot GC,GC/MS
- Thorough knowledge of analytical chemistry & related fields (organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, etc.),

regulatory standards & procedures.
- Strong interpretation ability on GCMS data.
- Knowledge of formulations for personal care and home care products that can deliver a fragrance experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, working safely with laboratory equipment, chemicals, and manufacturing raw materials, including fragrances
- Having good communication skills (English)
- Good team player, willing to take challenges & learn Computer Skills

Prerequisites (Qualifications, experience or relevant knowledge required e.g. Industry)

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Analytical / Physical Chemistry OR PhD in Analytical Chemistry

Experience
- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in Analytical Lab with hands on GC, HPLC, GCMS. OR 1 year experience if PhD.
- Good track record for method development and problem solving
