We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual to join our fragrance development team as a trainee. As a Fragrance Development Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the creation of innovative fragrances.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting senior developers with fragrance formulation, conducting sensory evaluations, and maintaining accurate records of fragrance development processes.

  • Develop basic fragrance understanding including history, raw materials, fragrance families and perfume archetypes through guided learning and self-study
  • Undertake assignments in category teams and develop deep understanding of evaluation protocols, market and consumer dynamics, best sellers and best smellers within the categories
  • Shadow more senior evaluators on real-time briefs
  • Evaluate new fragrances and provide feedback to senior developers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Academic background: University Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or related field
  • Verbal and written command of English
  • Proficiency in using common PC applications
  • Able to define, recognize and memorize olfactory notes and fragrance language terms and determine olfactory directions
  • Some work experience welcome, but not necessary
