About the position: The General Manager, Operations, Implementation & CIP is responsible for the site(s)operation in terms of managing the throughput; value added services and storage of product in the physical warehouse. This includes all equipment, people, processes and the regulatory framework required to ensure all warehouse targets are met.
Implement continuous improvement strategies and achieve sites operational KPI’s.
- Actively participate in the solution design and implementation of new business, account management, and develop operational customer relationships.
- Responsible for P & L of the entire operations.
- Coordinate internal standard handling processes and customer required processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implements and manages the deployment of IT support infrastructure not limited to the WMS requirements and deployment, but other key functionalities, i.e. stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and performance evaluation.
- Implements and maintains all safety, security and quality management programs implementing health and safety procedures as well as managing staff training issues.
- Provide support and work with account executives/program managers to improve operational and performance metrics.
- Provide information, recommendations, and coordinate project implementation for transportation and logistics cost reduction opportunities and identify mode optimization opportunities developing business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logístical problems and producing new solutions; planning projects; using specialist knowledge, such as mechanical-handling systems, and providing logistics consultancy services internally.
- Responsible for transportation analysis and savings/cost opportunity analysis and the implementation and management of cost analysis measures plan and monitor budgets.
- Ensure accurate forecasting of volume projections for warehousing and transportation requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of department reports and monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
- Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
- Establish and develop the contract logistics manpower deployment to ensure a well-functioning department in support of the programs.
- Present forecasts, sales and technical requirements for specific programs.
- Create and maintain metrics to tract and analyze inventory.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure resources are adequate to meet customer demand.
- Effectively determine priorities based on business and customer demand.
- To perform any other related duties as required.
**To be successful in this role you will require the following**:
- Demonstrated warehousing experience
- Demonstrated supply chain management experience
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Should also possess excellent computer skills, advanced analytical skills, presentation skills, and good people skills
- Strong problem-solving ability teamed with the ability to delegate work
- Capacity to manage and maintain an effective team environment
- Able to follow, perform and maintain a good and positive performance in both housekeeping and safety related task assign by the management
- Consistently demonstrate, implement and maintain an excellent service quality at all levels of the organization
