The Volunteer Management (VM) Assistant (Asst) Executive is a member of the VM team who supports volunteer-related tasks, mainly training coordination, scheduling,recruitment and volunteer development. He or she works closely with colleaguesin the 24/7 Support Team to ensure the smooth operation of SOS core servicessuch as hotline and care text, with the mission of being an available lifelineto the distressed and suicidal.

The VM Asst Executive will be coordinating volunteer involvement for the 24/7 hotline,SOS Care Text, Emergency stand-by services, and other volunteering roles as and when assigned by the Manager of VM team.

The VM Asst Executive is expected to be approachable, personable and has good interpersonal skills. He or she reports to and assists the VM Manager to enhance the service quality and delivery.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supports and co-ordinates roster scheduling and deployment, training and development for SOS Volunteering Core Services
- Support and co-ordinates roster scheduling, training and development for SOS Volunteering Services, e.g. 24-hr hotline, SOS Care Text, etc.
- Co-ordinates, administers and monitors the different phases of volunteer training or refreshers
- Supports volunteers to man SOS Volunteering Service, e.g. 24-hr hotline, and SOS Care Text, etc.
- Ensures that volunteers adhere to organisational policies on data security and confidentiality
- Motivates and encourages camaraderie spirit amongst volunteers through various strategies
- Provide volunteer administration support, e.g. updating volunteer recruitment database
- Assists in special projects and other duties (e.g. volunteer interviews) as assigned by Manager of VM Team or by HOD



**Educational Qualification**:

- Diploma in Arts, Social Work, Psychology, Management, or related discipline

**Relevant Experience**:

- At least 1-2 years of work experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Networking skills
- Group facilitation skills

- Self-motivated
- Good team player
- Willing to work in the evenings and during odd hours in accordance to service needs
- Approachable and personable
- Organized and efficient
