**The Role**: The Market Reporter for Asia Chemicals and Polymers Markets is a reporter who takes responsibility for day-to-day reporting on chemical markets in Asia. The individual in this position is responsible for every aspect of market reporting, including the collection and publication of primary market information, running an assessment process, assessing the value of a variety of chemical and polymer products, engaging with market sources, reporting market-related news, writing commentary and analysis, and contributing to methodology development.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Market reporter will be responsible for publishing spot price assessments for Asia chemicals markets and writing high-quality market commentary.
- Writes real-time news relating to and impacting chemical markets to help readers understand what is happening in the marketplace, including news about supply/demand developments, government data, new developments in regulations and analysis of price trends, and other relevant topics.
- The individual is responsible for engaging with market sources around the region regularly. He or she is expected to develop and nurture new market sources and maintain a good relationship with existing sources.

**What we're looking for**:

- Bachelor's Degree required; economics, journalism, finance, or business-related fields preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in price reporting, journalism, analytics or within the commodity industry preferred.
- Accuracy under time pressure. It is critical that we deliver timely and high-quality assessments to the market.
- Developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong mathematical, presentation and writing skills.
- Ability to perform well both individually and as part of the team.
- Knowledge of additional languages, such as Mandarin, Japanese or Korean, is an advantage.
